Sam from Mana, the car and the rolling road…it was time to find out if everything done to date was gone to work.

After using an electronic shifter for the last couple of seasons we opted to change to an ‘air-shift’ system which as with everything else would be controlled by the ECU.

Having chosen to use a modified wet sump system we had to be a able to test without loosing oil pressure and yet another engine!

Where to start…so many options. We where recommended the ECU Master Black and after talking with Sam from Mana Performance purchased their Dash and ECU

Our intention was always to run with a stock engine for as long as possible whilst still developing the chassis but during 2023 we realised this was going to be too much of an ask for the K8 and L2 GSXR’s. After making a list of available 1000cc engines we chose the Yamaha R1 –
